April 8 WBC Purse Bid Update

The World Boxing Council had three important mandatory fight purse bids scheduled, and there are some updates we wish to provide.

WBC INTERIM SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

Christian Mbilli vs. Diego Pacheco

Diego Pacheco, the number 2 contender, withdrew from his fight against Christian Mbilli, the WBC number 1, due to a previously scheduled fight.

WBC SUPER FEATHERWEIGHT MANDATORY FINAL ELIMINATOR

Eduardo “Rocky” Hernandez vs. Mark Magsayo

The parties involved requested an additional week to try to reach an agreement. If this cannot be reached, a purse bid will be scheduled.

WBC LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

Dimitry Bivol vs. David Benavidez

Dmitry Bivol lawyer, Patrick English, informed that Dmitry Bivol has decided to relinquish his WBC light heavyweight championship. We wish Bivol success and hereby confirm David Benavidez as WBC world light heavyweight champion
