Canelo and Scull make no bones about the weigh-In
WBC, WBO, and WBA Super Middleweight Champion Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez, from Mexico, fights IBF Super Middleweight Champion William Scull, from Cuba, on Saturday at The Venue Riyadh Season in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
In his most recent fight, Canelo defeated Edgar Berlanga in Las Vegas. Scull comes into this fight after defeating Vladimir Shishkin last October in a bout held in Germany.
This matchup will have the undisputed super middleweight title at stake, as in addition to Scull’s IBF title, the Mexican fighter’s WBC, WBA, and WBO titles are on the line.
This Friday, both fighters demonstrated they were in tip top condition by passing the official weigh-in without any problems. Canelo weighed 167.1 pounds, while Scull registered 166.1 pounds.
